Ours is a story that smells of leather, salt and sun.
It all began in 1960, among the white streets and blue profiles of Positano , with a man, Carmine Ruocco , and his passion for the artisanal production of shoes and sandals. A profession made of precision, patience and vision. An art that he chose to generously pass on to his son Vincenzo , and which today still lives through the hands and heart of Lorenzo , the third generation of the family.
Nanà , the creative soul of the brand, has collected this legacy, transforming it into a project that combines design, tailoring and human warmth. Each model is designed by her and comes to life through collaboration with the best Italian artisan workshops. Nothing is left to chance: from the soles to the jewel details, each element is chosen and made with the care and respect that things done well deserve.
And then there is you, who chooses the color of the stones, who assists in the composition of your jewel sandal, who actively participates in that magic. Because each creation is designed to be unique. Like you.
The essence of Italian craftsmanship
Every detail is a declaration of love for the craft.
Everything starts from matter.
We select top-quality natural leather from the best tanneries in Tuscany , free from chemical treatments, with veins and small imperfections that tell of its authenticity. The soles are modeled with this leather, then cut and sewn by hand in a historic sole factory in Campania .
For the upper we use only genuine calfskin , also Tuscan. Nanà prefers the satin version: slightly glittery, soft and shiny, to give the sandals a refined and light touch like summer.
The jewel details , on the other hand, are true miniature works. Made of brass , they are hand-welded by Neapolitan master craftsmen, stone after stone, until they create unique and harmonious designs. The plating - gold or silver - is entrusted to one of the best galvanists in Vicenza , specialized in hypoallergenic and long-lasting treatments.
